I don’t ask for support often, but a friend needs help for a good cause.  My friend Lesli is helping coordinate a project to support a team of riders, Team Ride Read; the team will race to bring awareness to the number one killer in women — heart disease.  This project serves a cause so large that help from a community of supportive friends is welcome.  This is, in a nutshell, what this project is all about:

A four woman cycling team from Austin, Texas will race over 3,000 miles from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD to bring attention to the number one killer of women - heart disease.

I made a pledge, and I ask you to do the same if this cause means something to you.  Whether you know it or not you have a mom, daughter, niece, sister, grandmother, co-worker, or friend that is touched by heart disease.  Helping is easy, here is the Team Ride Red website.
